Terms of Service

1. Service Scope

Your AI Translator provides translation and language-assistance features. Some features may require account authentication, device linking, and an active subscription.

2. Accounts and Access

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate account information.
• Access may depend on locally stored license or entitlement tokens remaining valid and periodically refreshing online.
• We may suspend access for abuse, fraud, or policy violations.

3. BYOK and Provider Usage

In BYOK mode, you are responsible for your external AI provider account, API key usage, quotas, and costs. Provider terms and policies also apply.

Any token or request counters displayed inside the extension are provided as a local usage record for your convenience. When provider-reported usage is available, the extension prefers it; otherwise the counters may use estimation logic. Those counters do not replace the billing records or metering published by your external provider.

Your selected provider integrations may change over time as external APIs, pricing, compatibility, or availability change.

If you enable cloud settings sync, your synced settings are encrypted client-side with a passphrase you choose. That passphrase is stored only on the browsers where you save it and is not recoverable from our server.

If you enable encrypted cloud sync for BYOK data, a separate encrypted BYOK snapshot may be stored in browser sync storage so your other browsers can restore it locally after you enter the passphrase on that browser.

4. Plans, Trials, Billing, and Refresh Requirements

Paid plans (monthly, annual, lifetime) are billed via Dodo Payments. Pricing, renewal behavior, cancellation, and refund terms are shown at checkout and in your billing portal.

New accounts may receive a limited trial entitlement. Trial availability, duration, and eligibility can change at any time.

All plans, including lifetime purchases, may require periodic online validation or refresh of locally stored device entitlements or credit grant tokens. If a device remains offline too long, uses an outdated local entitlement, or fails revalidation, access can be temporarily paused until the device reconnects and refresh succeeds.

Lifetime means no recurring billing for the purchased entitlement. It does not mean perpetual offline operation without periodic validation or compatibility updates.

5. Device Linking Limits

The number of devices that can be linked to an account may vary by plan. Trial access may be limited to fewer devices than paid plans. We may enforce these limits in the extension, portal, or backend services.

6. Acceptable Use

• No reverse engineering, unauthorized automation, or abuse of service endpoints.
• No use for illegal activities or rights-infringing content.
• No attempts to bypass licensing, security checks, or usage controls.

7. Availability and Changes

We may modify, improve, or discontinue features over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation, but we aim to maintain reliable service.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties. LicheeSight is not liable for indirect or consequential damages from service use.

This limitation also applies to optional client-side encrypted cloud settings sync. You are responsible for safeguarding your passphrase, browser account, and local device. We are not liable for loss of access, decryption failure, or exposure caused by forgotten passphrases, compromised local environments, or third-party browser sync systems outside our control.
